Day 2
The journey commences with your pickup from your accommodation. We then proceed past þingvöllum without stopping, heading towards Kaldidalur. During this scenic drive, we venture onto the highland road, passing by Sandkluftavatn before reaching the Langjökull glacier, the second largest in Iceland.
Continuing our journey, we head towards Borgarfjörður to discover the enchanting Hraunfossar waterfall. Formed by rivulets streaming out of Hallmundarhraun, these lava waterfalls cascade gracefully into the landscape. Witness the beauty of Barnafoss, accompanied by its poignant saga.
Iceland’s rich literary heritage and the captivating sagas beckon us to delve deeper into the historical significance of Reykholt. This quaint village holds a special place in Icelandic history as the former residence of Snorri Sturluson, widely regarded as Iceland’s greatest saga writer. Stepping foot in Reykholt is akin to stepping back in time, as we immerse ourselves in the legacy of Snorri Sturluson and the tales he crafted. Explore the surroundings that once inspired his prolific writings, and gain insights into the medieval Icelandic society that shaped his narratives. In addition to its literary treasures, Reykholt also boasts Snorralaug, a historic hot spring believed to be one of Iceland's oldest handmade structures.
Our next destination is Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful geothermal spring. Marvel at the geo-power of this natural wonder, where most of the water is used for central heating in neighboring towns. Discover the unique Blechnum Spicant fern, found exclusively in this area. Our tour concludes with a visit to Hvalfjörður, known for its controversial whaling history, before arriving back in Reykjavik in the late afternoon.

Day 3
Our first stop on the iconic Golden Circle route is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. As you enter, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking Almannagjá gorge, offering a glimpse into the Earth's geological history. Here, along the European-American fault line, visible evidence of plate tectonics reveals itself, showcasing the ongoing separation of the two continents and the formation of Iceland, the world's youngest country.
Continuing our journey, we arrive at Geysir, lending its name to the phenomenon of spouting hot springs. Prepare to be mesmerized by the mighty Strokkur geyser, which erupts with remarkable regularity, offering an awe-inspiring display every few minutes. Surrounding Strokkur are an array of geothermal features, including fumaroles, mud pools, and smaller geysers, along with the impressive but dormant Geysir itself.
Our journey through the Golden Circle leads us to Gullfoss, Iceland's breathtaking Golden Waterfall. Here, the Langjökull glacier's meltwater crashes into the Hvítá river gorge, creating a dramatic display of power and beauty. With its distinct curves and golden hues, Gullfoss mesmerizes visitors, leaving them in awe of nature's grandeur. Feel the spray on your face and hear the roar of the water as rainbows dance in the mist. Gullfoss is a testament to Iceland's raw beauty and a reminder of nature's strength.
Day 4
Begin your day with a visit to one of Iceland’s most beloved waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss. Experience the thrill of walking behind the thundering cascade, but exercise caution as the trails can be narrow and slippery, especially in winter. Marvel at the illuminated beauty of the falls, enchanting visitors year-round with its magical allure.
Next, behold the majesty of Skógafoss, one of Iceland's largest waterfalls, fed by the glaciers of Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. Witness mesmerizing rainbows on sunny days and feel the spray as you get up close to this natural wonder. Explore the Skógafoss area, a starting point for adventurous hikers heading to Fimmvörðuháls and Þórsmörk.
Continue your journey with an exhilarating drive to Iceland's volcanic black sand beaches of the south. Revel in panoramic views, with the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the shore on one side and glaciers and volcanoes dominating the horizon on the other. Experience the dramatic contrasts of Iceland's landscape as you soak in the raw beauty of its southern coast.
