ATV - Black Beach Safari and the Plane Wreck

ATV/Quad biking is a great way to explore the raw black sandy beaches on the south coast. The adventure begins at our main base where we gear up and get to know the ATV’s/Quad’s. After we have gone through the safety instructions we start the drive, trough small rivers and streams, to the sandy beach which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. After a fun ride on the black beach we stop at the famous DC3 plane wreck to adore the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the big black coast all the way to Dyrhólaey, the southernmost part of Iceland. When we have synced in these beautiful sights we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of Mt. Heiðarhorn. Along the mountains we head back to the base.
